Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy covers the BandBrief marketing website at bandbrief.com. The BandBrief application at app.bandbrief.com has its own privacy terms, which apply once you create an account there.

What we collect

When you visit this website, we and the services we use may collect information about your visit: the pages you view, how you arrived here (including advertising campaign parameters), your approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic device and browser information. We do not ask for or transmit names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers through these analytics and advertising tools on this website. Information you send us yourself — for example through the contact form — is used only to respond to you.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies, all of which you control through the consent bar:

  • Consent choice (bb_consent) — remembers whether you accepted analytics and/or advertising tracking. Stored for up to one year.
  • Campaign attribution (bb_attribution) — records the campaign parameters that brought you to the site (such as utm_source, gclid, or fbclid) so that if you later sign up in the BandBrief application, we can tell which campaign was responsible. It contains no personal identifiers. Stored for up to 90 days.
  • Product analytics (PostHog) — helps us understand how the site is used, with anonymous identifiers only. Loaded only if you accept analytics.
  • Advertising measurement (Meta and Google Ads) — supports our advertising campaigns, including Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags. Loaded only if you accept advertising.

Advertising and measurement partners

We use Meta (Facebook) and Google Ads to advertise BandBrief. Their tags may set their own cookies (such as Meta's _fbp and Google's consent cookies) and receive information about the pages you visit here and the campaigns you arrived from. They do not receive your personal details from this website. You can also control advertising personalization directly in your Meta ad settings and Google Ads Settings.

Your choices

Nothing in the categories above runs until you make a choice in the consent bar. You can change your mind at any time using the Manage cookies link in the footer, which reopens the bar. Choosing "Essential only" disables PostHog, Meta, and Google tracking on this website. Your choice is shared with the BandBrief application at app.bandbrief.com so you do not have to answer twice.
